Individual or Couples Therapy Sessions

My full fee for a 50 minute session is $120. per session. Lower fees may be negotiated, depending on current availability of reduced fee slots.

Group Counseling Sessions

In my weekly Anxiety and Stress Management Group, you will learn and practice relaxation skills. You will have the opportunity to share your anxieties and fears with others. You will be able to give and receive support for taking steps toward the kind of life you want to live. My fee for group is $45. per session. Call me to reserve your place and to see if group is right for you.

Stress Reduction Single Consult

This may be right for you if you want another perspective on your situation, or to learn some basic Stress Relief strategies, without committing to weekly therapy. The fee for this single session is $120.

Help for the Homebound

If you are physically unable to leave the house, due to illness or injury, call me to discuss other possibilities. For example, you might be a candidate for phone, in home, or online counseling.

About Insurance

Many people prefer to pay out of pocket for counseling services, to protect their privacy and their right to choose.

Most PPO insurance carriers will reimburse you for out of network care. If you decide to use your PPO insurance, I will be happy to provide you with a Superbill. You would pay my fee, and then present the Superbill to them for possible reimbursement.

Many HMO carriers will negotiate a "single case" contract if you choose a provider outside of their network. Ask me about your insurance when you call to schedule your first appointment.

If you use your insurance, I will be required to give you a mental health diagnosis. The number of sessions may be limited by your insurance plan. With an HMO, payment might be denied unless you meet stringent criteria for "medical necessity." Your diagnosis and related documentation become part of your permanent health record.
